Q: Where are the truffles made?
A: All of our artisan chocolates are handcrafted, hand-decorated and hand-packaged in Port Townsend, WA..
Q: Can you send me a catalog?
A: Unfortunately we are not able to fulfill requests for print catalogs. However, our entire year-round and current seasonal product lines are available at www.porttownsendchocolatecompany.com.
Q: How should I store my chocolates? Can I refrigerate them?
A: We handcraft our chocolates using only the finest and freshest all-natural ingredients, and special care should be given to maintain quality and freshness. For the best possible chocolate experience, please follow these storage guidelines:
- Always store chocolate in a cool, dry location away from a heat source and direct light.
- The ideal storage environment should maintain a consistent temperature between 55 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit. If stored in temperatures higher than that, the chocolate may begin to soften, compromising the appearance and flavor profile.
- Do not freeze or refrigerate chocolate. Ideal humidity for chocolate storage is 55%, and regular refrigeration units are too humid and will cause condensation.
- Keep chocolate away from sources of strong odors as chocolate absorbs the odors of food and other strongly smelling products around them, which can adversely affect the flavor.
Q: Which truffles contain alcohol?
A: A number of our truffles do incorporate liqueurs or other alcohol products, although at levels that are low enough for safe and legal consumption by minors.
Q: Are all of your chocolates handmade?
A: Yes. All of our artisan chocolates are handcrafted, hand-decorated and hand-packaged in Port Townsend, WA.
Q: Are your products all-natural?
A: We handcraft our entire core line of year-round truffles using only the finest and freshest all-natural ingredients. Additionally, we do not add any preservatives to our chocolates. In rare cases, we may utilize artificial colors, artificial flavors or hydrogenated oils in some chocolate products
Q: Do you offer wholesale pricing?
A: At the moment we do not have standardized wholesale pricing. Please call 360-385-3961 for any and all wholesale opportunities.
Q: What allergen risks do your products pose?
A: Our chocolates contain a number of ingredients that could pose allergen risks. Additionally, even if the product you are interested in does not pose a direct allergen risk, please be advised that our chocolates are manufactured in a facility that handles peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts), milk, eggs, soybean & wheat products.
Q: What if I have a nut allergy?
A: In addition to avoiding products that feature nuts, please be advised that our chocolates are manufactured in a facility that handles peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, walnuts and macadamia nuts), milk, eggs, soybean and wheat products.
Q: Can I specify a date that I would like delivery?
A: Yes, just put the date you would like delivery in the “Special Order Instructions” located on the 3rd screen of the order form. You will see it right below where you put your credit card information. We'll put it in our file to send out at that time – you will receive an email when the shipment goes out.
Q: When I buy one item it automatically moves me to the next screen. How do I add more items?
A: Yes, you must click on “buy” for each item individually which moves you to the next screen. To add more items, just click on “Continue Shopping” on the upper left hand corner and it will take you back to the previous page.
Q: Can I get a card enclosed in the box to tell someone who the present is from?
A: Yes, we provide cards free of charge. You will see a place to do so on the 2nd screen of the shopping cart.
Q: How can I ship different items to different addresses?
A: There are three ways:
- Call us at 360-385-3961 and we can take down the information.
- Email us at orders@porttwonsendchocolatecompany with your credit card information and what you would want sent to each person and if you would like a note enclosed, what you would like it to say. We will email you back with the total charge and when the boxes are going out.
- Individually buy and send each package on the website. Simply completely process the first box and when that order is complete - go back into the “Store” and buy the other items that you want sent to the next address and continue until your mailing list is complete.
Q: I got an error message and I'm not sure if my order went through.
A: You should get an email after submitting your order letting you know that your order has been received. However, if ever in doubt, you can email us at info@telluridetruffle.com or call our toll free number 360-385-3961 and we will be happy to help you. If you get our machine, don't worry, we'll get back to you as soon as we get back to the office.
Q: How will I know when the package has shipped?
A: You will get an email message from us stating that the package has shipped, the tracking number and the date of expected delivery.
Q: I am concerned about giving you my credit card number – what security measures does your site have for doing so?
A: Your credit card is processed on a secure accessed site, and through a secure gateway. We also require you to place your CVV code which means the person making a purchase on this website must have the physical card in hand.

The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with our customers is of utmost concern to us. In order to assure privacy and to protect our customers, Port Townsend Chocolate Company has applied appropriate security measures to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of information collected. The "https" in the address bar on your page indicates that the site is secured through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) through first commerce. Pages requesting personal information should always have "https" in the address.
In addition, your email address, phone number, physical address or any other information that you give to us will not be sold, given or shared with any other company for any reason. And Port Townsend Chocolate company will only contact you in order to let you know of promotions which usually include a discount for our customers.
